Season of Friendship❄❄

Good mornings beautiful humans! Happy Thursday ☃️

When you’re growing up as a kid, you’re surrounded by people everyday. It is very easy to make friends. You lose one and make a new best one the next! Or you make up the next day; kids can be very forgiving. Let’s be honest, life is better with friends!

I’ve always been a person that doesn’t have an issue with meeting new people and making new friends. I’d like to think I’m easy to talk to and I’m always happy! I have a very inviting personality. Having friends has always been important to me. However, I have 3 sisters so even if I didn’t have outside friends, I’ll always have my sister’s.

I’m the next to the baby in a family of five. I’m 4 years older than my baby sister and my older sister Tasha is 5 years older than me. So, I think I needed friends because I wasn’t close enough to my sisters in age to bond (when I was younger).

For over 15 years ive had the same group of friends! This is something ive been very proud of! The older you get the harder it is to make and keep friends. Lately my friend pool has been dwindling down. Not sure exactly what it’s from but I know that people grow apart and they change.

It’s important to grow and evolve and not everyone grows and evolves with you. That is why friendships fall apart. I had to learn that if someone doesn’t support you and your dreams, why would you want that person on your team? If someone doesn’t make time for you; how important are you to them anyway? As humans, don’t we make time for the things that matter to us?

How often do you make time for your friends? How important is friendship to you?

In a world where everyone is out for self, is friendship overrated?

I know that no matter what; my best friends Cassy and Kesha will always be there for me! I like to call both my female soulmates, my ride or die chicks! They’re always there for me. I do believe Cassy got to meet Heather before she passed away. Heather would approve!

Although Kesha and I haven’t been as close lately as we have in the past; she’s been my best friend since 2000. Almost 19 years strong. That is quite the bond and it would be Impossible to break. Who have you kept in your circle for years?

  1. Love it love it. Yo it’s so true. Going through this now cuz. Friends are hard to come by so if you have them. Hold on to them. Some fall to the side but the ones who really appreciate the bond stick it out. 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 Loved

    1. Yes it is very hard to find good friends. Most people like to see us fail. Very sad world. But when you come across that really good one, hold on! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and reading my blog! 💕💕💕

  2. Awesome read!! I’m learning to balance all the people in my life and sometimes it’s extremely hard but one thing that will never change is the love I have for my best friend of 20 years. We are solid as a rock therefore our friendship I shouldn’t never be questioned. I love friendships that endure time and distance especially when people pick right back up after months or years of not talking. That’s true foundation. It’s rooted deeply. I love you my bestie and again I’m so proud of you!
