Hi there friends, I’m back! I’ve been all over the place and slacking on my weekly editions of reasons I smiled. Happy to be back sharing my smiles with you guys. I have alot going on but I made sure I got this taken care of this week.
Before I start I want to say that I’m loving my new glasses, lol!
My friend Jason was here from out of town. I was happy to see him because it’s been 3 or 4 years since I last saw him. He’s such a fun person to hang around.
We had such a great time! We went to Icon Park. I was actually able to check something off of my 40 before 40 list, yay! Lol! We also went to the aquarium. Did I mention I love sealife? I wanted to be a marine biologist when I was younger. We also went bowling. He lost both times, lol!
Did I mention he’s a chef?? Can’t have a chef at the house and not have him cook, lol! He made sauteed mussels and they were scrumptious. I mean just so so good! Then he made seafood pasta and baked lobster. I felt like I was in a fancy restaurant. Oh, and he sported my Life with Lane apron while cooking 😍😍 Life is better with friends!
I had another much needed pool day! That is before the dip, lol! I actually got in the pool and went swimming. It’s been so long since I went swimming that my entire body hurt afterwards. This means I need to go more often. I do believe swimming is the best exercise because you work out your entire body! I’m here for it but I need to get in better shape first, Haha!
I finally had my book of poems published! That’s another thing off my 40 before 40 list. I’m not 100% happy with the outcome but I love the cover; me and my Onyx! Contact me via email if you’d like to purchase one arnettalane1980@gmail.com. That’s one of my favorite pictures.
My friend Ana sent me cookies via FedEx. She’s starting her own business and she wanted me to try them. Omg, absolutely delicious! I took video and pictures of me eating the cookies for her website. I’ll have a blog about her soon. She’s an excellent baker!
