That’s when I knew…………

#youareenough

Good morning beautiful humans, happy Thursday! Only more day left in the work week. Well for people that work Monday-Friday, lol! Thank you for stopping by my blog, come on in……

I’ve always been a strong woman because a strong woman raised me. That doesn’t mean I don’t have feelings or that I can’t be broken. Just because someone is strong doesn’t mean you can talk to them any kind of way. There’s this stigma that black women are tough and we can handle anything. We have feelings just like everyone else. We’re really know different but the world treats us different. At the end of day it really isn’t fair. That’s not the point of my blog though, lol!

I rarely speak on my private life, so you’re welcome 😊

I was in love once, awhile ago, and recently I was thinking about it. Why? I saw this video and it reminded me of my ex. The video was a compilation of people calling everything someone was trying to do in life little! For example, “Oh, I see you started your little business! “I see your little T-shirt company!” “You started your little food truck?” “How’s your little blog doing?”

The people in the video were trying to belittle what those people were trying to accomplish by saying little! The video caught my attention because I’ve experienced that. I’ve experienced that alot and its one of the reasons I continue to do my blog. It’s one of the reasons I continue to make sure I finish everything I start.

My ex use to belittle my job as a server/bartender. He made it seem like all I had to do was go to work and smile and people would just throw money at me. I knew it was time for me to let him go. I knew he didn’t respect what I did. He didn’t respect my writing, my website, my blog, me being a server!

There was always a comparison of who’s working harder. It was absolutely insane. At the end of the day, he simply didn’t respect me or what I did. I’m just now seeing that but I let him go awhile ago. I knew my worth. Queens wait for no one!
