Congress is out of session until September. However, they want to come back and vote on gun control issues. Mitch McConnell doesn’t want to, so guess what? They will remain out of session until September. Why does one man have that much power? He also vetoed voting on matters regarding paper ballads in each state. He wouldn’t even allow it to come to Congress for a vote.
One man, way too much power……..why is this allowed to happen?
That’s a very good question. I completely agree! Thanks for speaking up! xo

The short answer is that is the way it’s designed. Checks and balances so that one party can’t gain too much control and also a balance of powers between the Senate, House and Oval office.

It seems like he has too much power and I don’t agree with what’s going on. I don’t like it at all. I know how it works but it seems work. He has too much power!!

It’s not McConnell that has too much power. It appears it happened under Harry Reid, too when he was the Majority leader:

That’s an excellent observation! Politics is no longer alive. They have destroyed everything. No one is allowed to speak up.
